A new addition to this year’s festivities is the Festival Tent! Spreading the footprint of the festival even further across the city. The Festival Tent will be located in the Market Yard (beside Kytelers Inn) and will play host to a range of family shows and drumming workshops. The Festival Tent is a ticketed venue, with a number of the shows already sold out, but there are still some tickets to be had. Check out the line-up below:
GUIDO FANZINI’S IMPOSSIBLE CIRCUS SHOW

All the way from Turin! Wash away your troubles with the wonderfully subversive and interactive circus show by leading Italian female clown Fra Martó all about doing the laundry. Immerse yourself in laughter and bubbles. Never has trying to keep the house clean been so much fun.
RHYTHM MAKERS DRUMMING WORKSHOPS
Friday 15th & Saturday 16th March | €5 +bf
Join Jeremy Hickey (of Rhythm Makers, Music Generation and R.S.A.G) for fun, relaxing and creatively stimulating drumming workshops, this St. Patrick’s Festival weekend. Taking place on Friday and Saturday of the bank holiday weekend, these sessions will help develop unity and listening skills through active music making.
Drumming workshops are a natural team building activity and promote inclusion, reflection and mindfulness.
FRIDAY 15TH MARCH
5pm session – 5 to 7 year olds
6.30pm session – Adults (over 16s)
SATURDAY 16TH MARCH
4pm session – 5 to 7 year olds
5pm session – 7 to 12 year olds
6pm session – Adults (over 16s)

With so much happening around the city there are no ticketed shows on St. Patrick’s Day. But pop-down after the Parade to see the Hit Machine drummers at 3.30pm and a Hakuna Matata Acrobats performance at 4.30pm.
