Get in the festival spirit and make your way to the top of John St. for the pre-parade party at MacDonagh Junction. Park, get yourself a pre-parade coffee and snack in one of the centre’s coffee shops or eateries, and enjoy engaging entertainment for all the family.
DJ Paul Kavanagh will kick start the pre parade entertainment on St. Patrick’s Day at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre at 11.30am. Customers can enjoy a spectacular showcase including performances from Alize’s School of Music, CMD Dance School, Michelle Malone School of Irish Dancing and Dragons Lair Martial Arts. There’ll also be trad music, face painting and a visit from giant Leprechauns Lucky and Larry the perfect way to continue the celebrations into the afternoon. Families are invited to take part in an exciting snake hunt taking place in the centre all weekend.
The fun doesn’t stop there we have FREE activities planned for the whole weekend with a slime making workshop taking place on Friday 18th. Check out our reptile exhibition with the National Reptile Zoo on Saturday 19th from 12pm. To finish off the weekend we have Lady Desart Choir joining us in the centre on Sunday 20th from 3pm.
