Burnchurch, a family group brought together in a new combination. Lockdown was the cause of their being together at home more than usual and they used that time to compose and release a number of their own songs and videos. Sadhbh, Síofra, Éanna and Ruarí Ó’Casaide have responded to their local Kilkenny environment by taking a tour of their 5km limit and, earlier in the summer, to Valentia, Co Kerry, the home of their paternal grandmother, Noirín, who passed away in 2019. This talented Kilkenny family will be bringing us a very special performance produced especially for St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny. The brother and sister ensemble are sure to send shivers down your spine with their original songs as Gaeilge agus as Béarla.
