Smithwick’s Experience guided tours run every 30mins throughout the day (from 11am-5pm), seven days a week, each tour taking approximately 1 hour. Tours will run daily throughout St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny 2026 including St. Patrick’s Day.

The Barrel Yard at the Smithwick’s Experience will host a number of musical performances over the weekend beginning with Abbeyfolk on Saturday 14th March at 5pm. A highly acclaimed ballad and folk group, hailing from Laois, Kilkenny and surrounding counties led by Kevin Morrin.
On Tuesday, March 17th, St Patrick’s Day, the cosy, enclosed venue we will host live music with B&B following The St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The lively two-piece band will be playing Irish folk and ballads, mixed with a wide range of crowd favourites to keep everyone entertained from 5pm to 7pm
