St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny are delighted to continue our tradition of welcoming American Marching Bands to the city over the St. Patrick’s Festival weekend! Our visitors from the USA put on fantastic displays and help us get in to the celebratory spirit of the festival!
This year we welcome back Festival favourites University of Illinois Marching Illini who have been visiting Ireland since 1992, and give a warm first time welcome to Ohio State University Marching Band and Campo Verde HS.
Please note all outdoor performances subject to weather conditions and are at the band’s discretion. Please check social media for updates on the day!
SUNDAY 15th MARCH
12pm – University of Illinois Marching Illini – Beginning in Kilkenny Castle Park the band will then march through Kilkenny heading along The Parade, down High St, around Bateman Quay, up The Parade again and finish back at the Castle Park.
MONDAY 16th MARCH
11am – Campo Verde HS Marching Band – Kilkenny Castle Park
12.30pm – Ohio State University Marching Band – Kilkenny Castle Park
